Getting Started

The best place to start in this section, is to watch the High 5 Introductory Presentation followed by the High 5 Flow Chart  document. This runs through the most logical  sequence of planning and delivering the High 5 programme.

The most effective High 5 programmes involve 8 or more sessions being delivered within 6 to 12 weeks. However, if time is really tight, why not just dip your toe in the water and try a four session programme?

Even If you do start with just a four session programme, please do still take the time to complete and send us an Feedback form and data form, so that we know roughly what you did and how it went. There is nothing to stop you running another four sessions later in the year if you are your pupils have got a taste for it!

Once you’ve delivered your programme, don’t forget to tell us about it. The best place to do this is in the Testimonials section of this site. You’ll be able to give us a couple of sentences about your High 5 experience in your school.

We’ve had many hundreds of these forms completed and sent to us already and they have enabled us to continually improve High 5.

When you are planning your programme, while there are many ready-made lesson plans to choose from, do blend these with your own ideas. Every school has unique opportunities available to it. There will be people in your local community with skills and resources that you might be able to tap into, to help bring your High 5 programme to life! Just reminder to stick to the High 5 Principles so that we can ensure a consistent ethos across Highland.

Within this section you’ll be able to find the initial information and resources to get you started with High 5 for your school(s).
